CONCRETE FLOORS

A poured concrete base is in most cases the most cost-effective way to obtain a tight seal between the tank shell and the foundation plate. When the tank shell is completely finished, a concrete ringbeam is installed along the outer edge of the tank and a concrete slab is poured inside the tank.
The sealing of the floor and the floor-to-shell connection is guaranteed by applying watertight concrete mixtures, and by fixing a swell seal strip between the tank wall and the concrete floor.

The different phases of construction are:

For optimum drainage the concrete floor can be sloped towards a collecting sump from which a drainpipe can be taken.

When required the concrete floor can be additionally coated with the appropriate product for the contents of the tank.
